I have been working on financing for a while and have struggled with the traditional financing channels. The venture capitalists are searching for high risk projects that will generate multiple returns on their investment, they want 'serial entrepreneurs' who have exit strategies planned for 3-4 years. The manufacturing companies that would most benefit from this software are all in survival mode and are not looking to invest outside their own production units. It appears that for most organizations cash return is the key measurement for success. This project is going to improve the customer experience and while companies like the idea they all want someone else to put up the money.
